Adult Care Worker

Deliver compassionate, person-centred care to adults in their own homes across Birmingham and the West Midlands β€” helping people live safely, independently, and with dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care β€” washing, bathing, dressing, and continence care β€” with dignity and respect
  • Support with medication prompting or administration in line with training and care plans
  • Assist with mobility and safe moving and handling, using equipment correctly
  • Help with meal preparation, nutrition, and hydration
  • Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support
  • Carry out light domestic tasks included in the individual's care plan
  • Accompany clients to appointments, community activities, and social outings
  • Accurately record care delivered and promptly report any changes in condition
  • Follow individual care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures
  • Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and the wider care team

What We're Looking For

  • A caring, patient, and genuinely compassionate nature
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible about shift patterns, including some weekends
  • Good communication skills and a respectful, professional manner
  • Willingness to complete the Care Certificate and ongoing mandatory training
  • Previous care experience is welcome but not essential β€” full training is provided
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred for community-based visits
  • The right to work in the UK
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (we support you through this process)

Senior Care Worker

Lead by example on more complex care visits, mentor newer team members, and act as the first point of escalation between care workers and the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver personal and complex care to clients with more advanced or specialist needs
  • Administer and manage medication in line with policy, including where additional training applies
  • Mentor, shadow, and support new starters through induction and probation
  • Carry out spot checks and informal competency observations of care workers in the field
  • Act as the first point of contact for care workers needing on-shift guidance
  • Support the Care Coordinator in reviewing and updating care plans as needs change
  • Step in to cover complex or urgent visits at short notice when required
  • Liaise directly with district nurses, GPs, and other healthcare professionals on specific cases
  • Maintain accurate, detailed care records and incident reports
  • Champion best practice, safeguarding, and person-centred values within the team

What We're Looking For

  • At least 12 months' UK care experience, including some experience with complex care needs
  • Care Certificate completed, or willingness to complete it
  • Confident administering medication and comfortable escalating concerns appropriately
  • A natural mentor with a calm, steady presence for less experienced colleagues
  • Excellent communication skills, with both clients/families and healthcare professionals
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle β€” essential for this role
  • Flexible and willing to cover complex or urgent visits when needed
  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Care Coordinator

Sit at the centre of daily operations β€” building carer rotas, keeping communication flowing between clients, families, and carers, and making sure every visit runs safely and on time.

πŸ“ Office-based β€” Mill Wharf, Birmingham (with local travel) πŸ•’ Full-time πŸ’· Β£24,000–£28,000 per year, DOE πŸ‘€ Reports to: Registered Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and adapt carer rotas and visit schedules to match client needs and preferences
  • Respond to day-to-day changes β€” sickness, cancellations, new referrals β€” and arrange cover quickly
  • Act as a first point of contact for clients, families, and care workers by phone and email
  • Support new client onboarding, including scheduling initial assessments
  • Maintain accurate records across the care management system, including care plans and visit logs
  • Monitor call times and missed or late visits, escalating concerns promptly
  • Support recruitment coordination β€” arranging interviews, chasing references and DBS checks
  • Assist with quality assurance activity such as spot checks, audits, and satisfaction calls
  • Liaise with commissioners, social workers, and healthcare professionals on care packages
  • Share the out-of-hours on-call rota with other members of the office team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in care coordination, scheduling, or a similarly fast-paced administrative role
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities calmly
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident using rostering or care management software β€” full training provided
  • A good understanding of person-centred care and CQC requirements is an advantage
  • Right to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check
